Virgin America breached by hackers!
It has been reported that employees for Virgin America along with contractors have been told to change their passwords. Hackers managed to gain access to the airlines systems and raided whatever passwords they could find. The airline revealed this breach in a letter to the workforce stating that the network had been compromised by one or more hackers.
This attack was detected back in mid-March, the hackers managed to gain access and swipe logins for Virgin Americas corporate network. The figures show that 3,120 employees and contractors had their credentials stolen, aswell as this 110 people may have had their personal information taken.
It has also been reported that Alaska Airlines who own Virgin America have not been affected by this breach.
