UK Teen dodges jail!
It has been reported that British teen Jack Chappell has avoided a jail sentence after pleading guilty to aiding and launching DDoS attacks. Chappell who is 19 from Heaton Moor, Stockport launched over 2,000 DDoS attacks and aided several others. They formed a site which posed as a server stress-testing service, it sold computing power to those who wanted to perform DDoS attacks.
It was reported that he was aided by 2 Israelis who were arrested for running the site vDos, Itay Huri and Yarden Bidani both aged 19 were arrested in September 2016 after an FBI assisted investigation. There were lots of victims to these attacks some of these include, Netflix, Vodafone, NatWest, Amazon and the BBC. There were some smaller sites that were affected aswell such as Manchester College where Chappell studied. Chappell was arrested back in April 2016 after investigators traced his IP address after the attack on his college.
