StoneDrill Malware gets nastier!
It has been reported that the researchers who were following up on the shamoon malware attacks from last November, have found something even more nasty. A group of researchers from Kaspersky have said that the “StoneDrill” malware will sit in the victim’s browser, and it wipes out any paths possible with the user’s privileges.
Although this mainly looks for targets in Saudi Arabia and it has Persian language in the code, the researchers have said that traces of it have been found in Europe. The possibility could be that the attackers are starting to widen their campaign.
