Seagate is currently trying to fight a court battle that was started by their employees. Employees at Seagate started a court case when their personal information was breached. It was a phishing attack that caused this issue.
The employees are trying to find out whether they have the grounds to sue their employer for negligence. This was after someone who works in the HR (human resources) department was tricked to handed over copies of the employee’s tax forms.
