Australia’s red cross has been breached, the file that has been breached contains information on 550,000 blood donors. It isn’t yet known who is behind this massive breach. Shelly Park who is the Red Cross Australia chief exec, has said that a backup copy of the online enquiry database has been accessed by an unauthorised person.
Park has said that the file was registration information for 550,000 donors between 2010 and 2016. Some of the information includes names, addresses, dates of birth and also some other personal details. It has been said that the online forms don’t connect with the secure databases, where all the sensitive information is stored.
