RAF Club members been hacked?
It appears that The Royal Air Force club has been involved in a hack, following members have been receiving fake invoices via email. It has been spoofed to make it look like it has been sent from the club itself, the amount on the invoice was £200.
The club have said if anyone receives this email then do not open it and delete it straight away. The systems manager is looking into this issue with a matter of urgency, they will release further updates shortly. The club has asked for people not to email or telephone the club as they can’t answer all the calls.
If the membership list has been accessed, then the details of hundreds of current and former service men could now be in the hands of the criminals. At this moment in time there is no information to indicate that the incident involves more than the RAF Clubs email list.
