Netgear NightHawk users at risk!
It’s been reported that users of the Netgear NightHawk R7000 are been urged to check their settings if they upgraded the firmware last week. Netgear have added a remote data collection feature for this model.
The data that the feature may slurp up includes number of connected devices, IP address, serial number, LAN/WAN status and many more. Users are being urged to check their settings to see if this issue is affecting them. To many users this won’t be very alarming to them, many users don’t even change the default password for the router which is a big risk.
