Dutch banks not upto scratch!
According to the company that looks after all the countries .nl domains, the dutch banking industry isn’t upto scratch when it comes down to online security. There was a new report published on Tuesday by the internet registry SIDN, who were surprised that only 6 % of banks were using the security protocol DNSNSEC. This security protocol is used to protect the banks digital assets and also their customers.
Banks should be the main users of this protocol, however for the second time in a row they have scored the worst of all domains that were checked. In this check there were over 7000 domains checked which were owned by a range of different companies. It is considered a major security risk especially with a lot more of the banking being done online nowadays.
