Dropbox data breach!
The cloud biz has confirmed that the records that were stolen from the Dropbox database were genuine.
The Dropbox archive was stolen by hackers in 2012, which contained Dropbox user IDs and passwords. The confirmation today follows a massive reset of the passwords last week by Dropbox. This was after copies of that database started to appear on the internet. A spokesperson has said they are confident that it isn’t a new incident and that the data is from 2012.
