2.7 million Uber accounts affected!
A number of weeks ago it was reported that Uber had fallen victim to a data breach which affected UK customer and driver information. When the breach happened they didn’t know how many UK accounts had been affected by the breach, but they have finally come up with the figure of 2.7 million.
The taxi hire giant has been slammed by many people around the world for keeping the breach quiet for the best part of a year. The breach only came out a number of weeks ago but it actually happened back in October 2016. This was then made worse when the firm couldn’t give a breakdown as to where the affected accounts were in the world.
