185,000 + Wi-Fi Cameras insecure!

There could be another botnet round the corner after a generic Chinese wireless webcam has been flying of the shelves. It has been reported that the webcam in question is currently being sold by 354 vendors. Unfortunately, it has been discovered that the device has an exploitable and buggy web server.

Pierre Kim who is a security researcher has been looking into this issue and he has reported the following. It appears the flaws are within the administration interface on the camera, also the firmware allows and opens insecure connections to its backend.
