Three mobile database left exposed!

The UK carrier three mobile has been the victim of a hack, that has left millions of customers records exposed. There have been multiple news reports saying that the attackers managed to gain access to the three database, which holds information on 6 million customers.

The only information the hackers did have access to was computer names, addresses, phone numbers and also dates of birth. Certain payment information like card numbers and bank account information wasn’t exposed.

The hackers used the database to find out which customers were able to upgrade their handsets. Once they had that list they ordered the new phones using the customer’s details, then intercepted the parcels as they arrived, then they sold the stolen phones.
