Serious Firefox holes patched!

Mozilla has fixed more than 130 serious vulnerabilities this year, all these vulnerabilities were reported by community hackers. At the end of 2015 it was reported that there were more than 500 million users that use the Firefox browser. Since then it has become the world’s second most used browser. In first place taking 50% of all the browser usage is Google Chrome.

Richard Barnes who is the head of security for Mozilla has said that patching the serious bugs is critical for the security of the web. Barnes then goes onto to say that hundreds of millions use Firefox to connect to the web, which is a huge audience. Even with all the built in security and protection measures within Firefox it only takes a single vulnerability to put user’s devices at risk.
